Cabrier, London the bell topped case with five faceted urn finials and deeply moulded cornice over twin side handles, canted corners set with female caryatid mounts and glazed apertures to a plinth base on brass ogee bracket feet, the 7.5 inch arched brass dial with silvered arc for the tune selection comprising March, Minuet, Gavot, Minuet, Jigg and Gavot, over a chime/not chime subsidiary dial, the substantial triple gut fusee movement with seven knopped pillars and tic-tac type escapement striking the hours on a bell mounted on the backplate and on the hour, one of the six tunes on thirteen bells and thirteen hammers, with well engraved shaped backplate and large engraved cocks decorated with foliate scrolls and an urn on a pedestal 60cms

Inner: Two-body, bassine with deep back, center engraved with small rosette and the words STANISLAUS REX, band pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage, engraved mask at 6 o'clock. D. Gold, champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic markers on polished cartouches, matte background. Blued steel hands. M. 34 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full plate with turned baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring,single-footed cock, repeating on bell by depressing the pendant, with a thumb pin for optional à tact repeating.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 50 mm.
