€160,000: New Sales Record for Collector Square!
27-06-2025Hermès Birkin Himalaya: A Record Sale at Collector Square
This Hermès bag, considered one of the rarest and most prestigious models in the world, is named after the Himalayan mountain range, as its unique leather and tanning technique reflect the extraordinary shades of those snowy peaks.
“This is a first in Europe on the second-hand market—especially at a fixed price. This new record for Collector Square reflects the trust placed in us by both buyers and sellers, as well as the strength of our services. Each piece is physically authenticated by a member of our expert committee to ensure our clients complete peace of mind. This milestone also highlights the growing interest in pleasure purchases that hold genuine investment value.”
Julie Deschamps, CMO of Collector Square
An Exceptional Bag and a Lightning-Fast Sale
The sale, which took place at the 36 Boulevard Raspail showroom less than 48 hours after being listed online, can also be attributed to the bag’s impeccable condition: excellent leather care, full set offer including all original accessories—zip pull, clochette, diamond lock and keys, dustbag, raincoat, box—and most importantly, its CITES certificate. This essential document for exotic leather bags serves as a passport, providing details about the leather’s origin and enabling international transportation.
A Booming Demand for Exceptional Pieces
Since January 1, 2023, both online and at the showroom, Collector Square has sold: an Hermès Birkin 30cm in Mimosa Yellow Alligator for €59,980, a Hermès Kelly So Black 32cm in black box leather for €29,950, a Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5712 for €74,850, and a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra long necklace in yellow gold and lapis-lazuli for €24,750. Demand for such rare pieces is rising rapidly in early 2023, particularly among international clientele.
More than 300 Hermès Birkin bags are available online.
