An unusual gilt metal oval eigth days timepiece with ribbon, enamel signed Rivier.Signed Chevron, 8 Jours, retailed by à l'Emeraude, Nice-Lausanne, nos. 15852 and 1776, circa 1925.With backwound jewelled lever movement, the oval rose-coloured dial with black Breguet numerals on gilt chapter ring, blued steel moon-style hands, centred by a circular ivory-coloured plate with a finely painted polychrome scene signed Rivier depicting four cherubs playing with a rose-coloured ribbon, in oval case with finely chased floral decoration to the top, all attached to a rose-coloured ribbon and gilt metal hanger, case signed.74 mm. wide & 97 mm. long, 250 mm. overall length.View Lot Notes ›
