  Description : John Hill, Montrose with elaborate caddy top over blind fret and carved frieze and reeded columns to a long door flanked by similar quarter columns and base with applied 'razor blade' moulding to ogee bracket feet, the 12 inch arched brass dial signed on a silvered plaque in the arch, within a wheat ear engraved border to a matted centre with ringed winding holes and date aperture, the possibly associated movement with four knopped pillars, anchor escapement striking on a bell. 2.45m high
