Elsa Peretti was born in Florence on May 1, 1940 and rapidly emerged as a leading avant-garde designer, best known for her stunning jewelry designs. Her sublime collaboration with Tiffany and Co. began in 1974 in the heady atmosphere of 1970s New York.

Drawing on craftsmanship that valued excellence above all else, Elsa Peretti was inspired by nature to reach a scientific insight that she sculpted into sumptuous, organic works of art that reflect the soft, metallic nature of silver and gold. This was the foundation for her innovative, startling and sophisticated collections that build on the iconography of fruits, animals and the human body.

Elsa Peretti’s legendary collections are as varied as they are dazzling, such as the “Bone” cuff, literally molded from a delicate, feminine wrist, or the pieces of the “Mesh” collection, hewn from gold to be as light as air.
