The House of Pomellatio was launched in 1967 through the creativity and daring of Pinao Rabolini. The son of a goldsmith, Mr. Rabolini is one of the pioneers in the “prêt-à-porter” approach to high-end jewelry, seeking to create simple, modest decorations with a strong sense of identity. His designs’ inimitable style meant that the House rapidly became a staple of the jewelry market throughout Europe.

The idea for the “Dodo” collection came to the founder during a trip to Mauritius. Building on the region’s iconic bird and the place it occupies in the collective consciousness, the fun, continually evolving yet nostalgic “Dodo” collection immediately became a classic of the House of Pomellato. Since then, jewelry that mixes yellow gold with silver, adorned with a Noah’s Ark of animals of all kinds, has been added to the collection.
