"Master of Complications". That is the nickname of the man who invented the most complicated wristwatch in the world, with 36 complications and 1483 components.

The history of this prestigious brand is notable for how recently it began. At the end of the 1980s, Frank Muller met and teamed up with Vartan Sirmakes, whose speciality – cases – proved complementary. The Manufacture Frank Muller was officially founded near Geneva in 1991.

Muller’s genius was to buck the trend for quartz movements, gambling instead on mechanical watches with complications.

The Cintrée Curvex began to be noticed for its curved body and the boldness of its royal blue dial.

With production of 40,000 watches a year, Frank Muller is more in vogue than ever, and already has 6000 retail outlets in around 100 countries. In a very short space of time, Frank Muller was able to establish itself at as a leader among the major Swiss watchmakers and maintains its reputation by continually offering its customers dynamic and diverse products.

Lucky ones may have been given the Vintage 7 Days Power Reserve, astutely released just before Christmas.

Muller is proud to develop the firm’s reputation based on celebrity customers, including Demi Moore, Robin Williams, Elton John and the rapper 50 Cent. Muller has even dedicated a new model to the footballer Christiano Ronaldo, a strategic choice of brand ambassador, promoting the watch as a clever combination of sporty, elegant and modern, but with a traditional and complex mechanism.
