The history of Cartier Ballon Bleu De Cartier

Watches Cartier Ballon Bleu De Cartier

In 2007 the house of Cartier presented a new collection called Ballon Bleu, which included designs for both men and women.

The name Ballon Bleu comes from this watch’s unique shape: a case and crown with convex curves, like a balloon.

The shapeliness of the Ballon Bleu de Cartier received the Grand Prix for watch making in Geneva in 2007, winning first prize for women’s watches. Winning this prize just increased the fame of the Cartier company in the luxury watch making sector.

It is interesting to note that it is impossible to buy the Ballon Bleu through Cartier’s online shops. These watches are sold only in some of Cartier’s shops – a sign of the exclusivity of this elegant and original watch.
