Birch & Gaydon, Fenchurch St. London The Gothic arched case surmounted by carved bud finials over freestanding Corinthian capped columns, moulded plinth base with carved bun feet, the 7.5 inch signed silvered dial with engraved foliate decoration to the corners, Slow/Fast and Chime/Silent subsidiaries to the arch, Roman numerals and blued-steel fleur de lys hands to the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells and striking the hour on a coiled gong 64cm (25in) high.
