Training given by leading nursing schools, specialised doctors and artistic directors enables our artists to visit children in all paediatric departments and particularly those where children are hospitalised for a long time. Whether in emergency units, intensive care, oncological or orthopaedic wards, all children receive the heart-warming visit of a clown doctor..Since its creation, the Theodora Foundation has developed its activity in nine countries including Switzerland, Turkey, South Africa, Belarus, France, Spain, England and Italy. In 2005, the Theodora Foundation's 132 professional clowns will visit close to 220,000 children in 88 hospitals located in 3 continents..The world of children and clowns being borderless, this concept was successfully introduced in Hong Kong in 1996.
