The history of Fendi Selleria

Fendi Selleria bags

Hand sewn and made of the highest grades of leather, Fendi’s “Selleria” bags were an instant success when first launched. Created by Adele and Edoardo Fendi, Selleria bags use the craft techniques of Rome’s master upholsterers, a process that takes six times longer than if the bags were manufactured using machines.

Selleria bags are based on Cuio Romano, a tanned leather featuring Dutch calfskin, with texture and softness that are achieved through unique expertise that dates back to the 1950s.

The Selleria collection is available in a huge range of shapes and models: most Selleria bags bear the name of the House of Fendi’s female designer, Adele, and her daughters Paola, Carla, Anna, Franca and Alda.

Entirely handmade, Selleria sacs are a link between modernity and tradition that can be handed down from generation to generation.
