The history of Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox

Watches Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox

Memovox (or the voice of memory) is one of Jaeger Lecoultre’s iconic designs and was launched in 1950.

The early models were hand wound, but from 1957 it was equipped with the first automatic movement and alarm in the history of watch making: the JAEGER LECOULTRE Calibre K815, a major feat for the company’s watch makers. This legendary movement is still in production sixty years after it first appeared and has been continuously improved by the company’s engineers to meet the latest technical requirements.

From the aesthetic point of view, the Memovox has had many versions over the years in line with the tastes of the time and has ranged from the classic to the sporty. For these reasons, this is a watch that’s keenly sought after by collectors.
