  Descrizione : Thomas Cole, London The urn with twin upright handles and engraved Greek-key pattern, the sides applied with figures of musicians and set with the ovoid silvered Roman dial with blued steel fleur de lys hands, the intricately shaped base set with engraved panels and housing twin sector-shaped apertures, the left hand side with a manual calendar set manually below, the right hand side set with a silvered barometer dial with scale from 28 to 31 inches. The time movement accessed by twisting and lifting the uppermost section of the urn and further protected by a screwed-down engraved dust cover, the circular watch-type movement with large going barrel to an English-style lever escapement, signed on the backplate 'Thos Cole, London' 17cms (6.75ins) high.
