Each clock is uniquely made, and is a synergy between modern technology and traditional handcraftsmanship. The present clock features the caliber 17-250, photo-electric cell with a rotating solar panel, which activates a converter inside the clock, and in turn powers the mechanical movement. The skill to complete these wonderfully vibrant representations was limited to a select group of enamellist.;The present example displays “teinturerie’ or dye works, and is an interesting combination of a traditional dyeing workshop, and modern industry. The background is painted in subtle and varying hues, ranging from swathes of dark blue to turquoise with highlights from hues of orange, red, brown and black. The daily life of the labour is brought to life as they dye, wash and wring the fabric. The dome top features an eclectic scene of modern travel. In addition to a plane, luxury cruise liner and train, there are two representations of the globe with North and South America on one side and Asia on the other. The enamel work is marked MD for Michel DeVille, who was known for his vibrant colours and hues, and his signature can be found on different Patek Philippe Dome clocks.;In lovely original condition, the cloisonné enamel is free of restoration and is fine example to add to any collection.

    Categoria : Orologio da polso
Materiale della cassa : Oro giallo
    Dettagli riferimento : 754
Funzioni : Calendario, Cronometro, Data, Fasi lunari

Descrizione : Movment running, all calendar and chronograph functions appear to be advancing correctly but the watch has not been tested for time keeping and we would recommend a service. The repeating needs slight tuning but is functioning correctly. Some slight oxidation to some of the movement bridges. Dial with some spotting, consistent with the watch's age, there are a few minor scratches towards the centre of the date dial, one to the month dial and two to the minute recording dial, tracks and signature are all lovely and clear. Case has been gently polished in the past and with light minor scuffs.
