The dial has loss of finish and discoloration, particularly to the outer edges, which is only visible when removed from the case. There are light scratches and minor loss of finish to the dial. The case shows signs of general wear, with light scratches throughout. There is a very slight gap when the hinged back is closed, but overall the case structure has been well maintained. The pin to the hinged back should be replaced. The engraved inscription to the case back reads, J.B. NOBLE U.S.N.
